The path of the Tajo de Arcos runs along the base of the calcarenitic escarpment that has configured the erosive action of the Guadalete River. It is downstream of the Arcos reservoir, a truly spectacular landscape. The interest is focused on the wall of the escarpment where Arcos de la Frontera appears.
This structure has special relevance, since in its knowledge a great number of stratigraphic and geomorphological interpretations are based. As for the fauna communities, the presence of the lesser kestrel colony stands out, considered one of the most important in Europe.
