The trail links Puerto de Boyar with Benaocaz, passing through the Salto del Cabrero gorge. This landscape is composed of chasms, galleries, caves, shelters and faults like this gorge. It is a crack that divides the hill in two with vertical walls that exceed 80 metres high. These are full of vulture nests, and the corridor that separates them measures about 50 metres.
This lane overlooks the Boyar Hollow. From the highest peaks you will have the opportunity to observe the Sierra de la Silla, the Cerro de las Cuevas, the Sierra de Albarracín, the Hurones, Bornos and Guadalcacín reservoirs, and the great mass of the Sierra del Pinar.
Although Salto del Cabrero is not a dangerous trail, in certain sections of the route you will find cattle. In addition, different birds nest in the holes of its walls, highlighting raptors, which fly over the valley and the gorge.

For environmental issues, routes such as Torreón or the route through the Pinsapar de Grazalema are closed from June 1 to October 31 to avoid fires. Anyway, it is ideal is to make the route in spring, when the mountains are greener than ever and it is not too hot.
