The Playa de las Mujeres or Santa María del Mar, in Cádiz, is a cosy and pleasant area located near the old town. It receives that name because at the time women who lived in Santa María neighbourhood went there.

Located between two breakwaters, it has a large semicircular viewpoint on the upper promenade. From there you can see beautiful views of the old city, thanks to the extraordinary location of this beach.
