We leave the Reception and Information Centre (CRI) towards the Coto de la Isleta, turning to the left. We border the salt flats and follow the road until we cross the Guadalete River through the passage enabled on the train track bridge. Leaving to our right the “El Caño” Tidal Mill, we continue along Francisco Cossi Ochoa street until its end. We turn right and then, upon reaching the roundabout, on the left (third exit). At the next roundabout we turn left to take the bridge that crosses the train track and leaves the industrial estate towards the old N-IV road. There we will connect with the bike path to our right, following it until its completion in the immediate vicinity of the Casino road.
We will be attentive to the signs that will indicate us, before reaching a sharp curve of this road, that we have to enter a lane to the right. This lane has a steep slope that we can overcome in two ways. By road, where the slope will be shorter but more pronounced; or along the way, where we soften the slope but lengthens the path a bit. Both will take us to the abandoned farmhouse known as Las Beatillas. From there, there is a high path that will take us to points with spectacular views of the Sierra de San Cristóbal, El Puerto and the entire countryside.
The road will begin to descend and will take us at the crossing to the left, where the steep descents will begin. Arriving near the endorheic complex, we will turn right to cross the road and enter part of the Casas de las Viñas of El Puerto Route. Leaving to the left a field of solar panels, we now cross the El Puerto-Sanlúcar road. Follow, with great care, a small section of this to the left. We are attentive to the signs and, just when we see another field of solar panels also on our left, our path will be marked on the right. Take the first road from this lane to the left that will take us to a farmhouse that we will border. From there, we will leave to the left. We return to the road and take it to the left in a very short journey.
Attentive to the signs, we will access a lane to the right, which will take us behind the back of the PUERTO III Penitentiary Centre. Once again, we cross the road directly to a road that, on its first exit to the left, will take us to the back of the PUERTO II Penitentiary Centre. We border and enter the endorheic complex, where we will see the three lagoons that compose it: Salada, Chica and Juncosa. We leave this road crossing the road straight.
The Campiña bike route will allow you to know places in El Puerto that you would have never known following traditional tourist routes. Dare to ride!
