The province of Cadiz is a good worldwide example of wine tourism.

Studies show that grape crops and winemaking began in the province of Cadiz during the time of the Phoenicians, more than 3,000 years ago. Since then, it was well known throughout the Mediterranean.

You will have the opportunity to taste the best wines and learn in depth everything surrounding the wine culture in the province of Cadiz.

It is important to distinguish between the production area of the grapes and the area of aging of wines (wine cellars); the type of soil where it’s grown (albariza) and the variety of grape used (palomino); the aging system (criaderas and soleras) and the wide varieties that are produced.

The province of Cadiz has two certificates of origin concerning its wines. On one hand, there’s the variety of Jerez-Xérèz-Cherry certificate of origin, which gives us such good wines as Fino, Pedro Ximénez or Oloroso, among many others. These wines are produced in Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa María.

The other certificate of origin variety that belongs to the province of Cadiz is the Manzanilla of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, wich gives us such spectacular wine and whose production is limited only to Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

There is also winemaking in the Sierra, mainly in Arcos de la Frontera and in Prado del Rey.

TUDESTINO assures that you will find the best wines here, in the province of Cadiz. What are you waiting for to come and go wine tasting?
