The Alcazar of Jerez is the oldest monument in Jerez de la Frontera. It is one of the few examples of Almohad architecture that are preserved in the peninsula. Outside we can admire three towers: Almohade, Ponce de León and Octagonal.
Inside, the Door of the City, from the XII century, stands out (only access to the enclosure). We should also mention the Mosque, the patio of ablutions, the gardens and the baths.
We must make a special mention of the Palace of Villavicencio, in whose tower you will find the Camera Obscura.
