The Castle of Olvera was one of the defensive fortresses of the Nasrid kingdom of Granada throughout the province of Cádiz. These were distributed from here to the Strait of Gibraltar.
It is unknown whether its origin was Muslim or earlier. However, it has been remodelled after the damage caused in the reconquest. It is interesting to see how they adapted their plan to the shape of the rock in which they decided to build it.
It has a single access door, the Keep Tower and two towers. Also, you can also see the canvas wall with round pass, an underground enclosure and two tanks.
