The best of nature in Puerto Real

If you are a nature (and beach) lover, we recommend to stop by Puerto Real.

Complejo Endorreico de Puerto Real is a Natural Reserve that consists of three lagoons: Comisario, Taraje and San Antonio. The value of this reserve lies in its bird wildlife, being an important nesting and wintering shelter. Because of this, it has been declared a Special Protection Area for Birds.

Bay of Cadiz Natural Park, in the central part of the Atlantic coast of the province, is situated on a large area of wetlands. The special ecological characteristics of these wetlands are caused by the influence of the nearby ocean and the mild Mediterranean climate. They coexist in their environment with a high human population, a large industrial and economic activity with almost intact and saline marshy areas. Go all over this place on foot or by bike. You will love it!

Isla del Trocadero is an area of marshes in the heart of the Bay of Cadiz Natural Park. Of high ecological value, it has an important bird sanctuary and simply spectacular views. Go and find out yourself!

If you are feeling like spending a day in the sun, go to Playa del Río San Pedro or Playa de la Cachucha beaches. You will love their golden sand and their crystal clear waters!

You will find all this and more in Puerto Real. TUDESTINO gives you all the information you need, as well as a set of activities that will make your time here unforgettable!
