Playa del Cañuelo, also known as Playa de los Militares, is one of the few beaches that are completely unspoilt in Spain. It is one of those spots that will make you feel in full contact with nature. It is located in Tarifa, the southernmost city in the south.
To get there, you have to park your car on the Camarinal Lighthouse road and, from there, start the ascent by walking to the lighthouse. Once there, you must follow the descent path, about 25 minutes, through the natural park.
The beach is very small, but it is practically deserted and well protected from the wind. Transparent waters, golden sand and no service or equipment are the characteristics of Playa del Cañuelo.
We strongly recommend to go lightly loaded, with comfortable shoes, lots of water and an umbrella. This beach is suitable for adventurers and people who do not mind making a small route before discovering this natural paradise.
