“El Punto” was the popular term used for the huts where municipal taxes on the goods traffic were collected in Vejer de la Frontera. They were usually located at the entrance of the village. Back then, there were five of them. This family restaurant, with more than three decades of history, was located close to the one called Punto del Chorrillo.
At El Punto Restaurante, you will savour its menu in three different environments: its bright outdoor terrace on the Avenida de Andalucía street, its bar area to taste some tapas in a family environment and a quiet air-conditioned dining room.
The kitchen pursues preserving the taste of the local most traditional recipes, whilst adding an innovative touch. It is the perfect place to enjoy the excellent products that La Janda region has to offer.
You can start your evening with one of the suggestions in the menu: a shared course. Acorn-fed Iberian cold meats, cheeses, bluefin tuna tartare, Iberian loin carpaccio, prawns or Galician beef, salads, octopus, cuttlefish eggs and other delicious fried foods.
For the main course you may choose between meat and fish. Among the first ones, excellent cut of Iberian pig, La Janda veal, Galician beef or suckling lamb. For fish lovers: cuttlefish or jig-caught squid of Barbate, sea bass or swordfish.
