Destiny brought Antonio Gordillo from Cordoba to Cadiz to perform military service. This jewellery officer began to occupy his spare time working in a local jewellery store located at calle Sagasta, 46. After completing his military service, he decided to settle in Cadiz, keep the jewellery store and give it his last names.
But this career has not been easy. Over the years, he has had to learn and adapt to different situations that took place in Spain.
Gordillo knew how to overcome all these obstacles successfully, and convey the quality and enthusiasm to his customers. They found in his shop window a must stop due to the diversity of workmanship.
In 1980, they inaugurated the jewel in the crown: a shop located in calle San Francisco, 33. With 300 m2 and 10 shop windows, Joyería Gordillo has become a benchmark for the people of Cadiz in terms of high-end jewellery and watches. Antonio Gordillo’s daughter, Esther, has taken over from her father. She has been in charge of designing part of the collection displayed in their shops. To this shop, another one joined in 2006 on Avenida Cayetano del Toro, 2.
Esther, gemologist and assessor, knows well the ins and outs of this world and the way in which casa Gordillo has found its way among the people of Cadiz. Hard work, personalized service and being the most innovators in this world has its rewards, and they know it. Joyería Gordillo has been able to adapt to the new times, transferring its knowledge to the technological world.
To its physical stores, they have added an online sales website with detailed information of all its products. In addition, they have also created a blog where they explain their clients the latest trends and news in world jewellery. But apart from all of this, they organize different events in their shops with the sole purpose of getting even closer to their customers.
