San Pedro de Alcántara is a district of Marbella and a tourist destination between Algeciras and Malaga. Thanks to its location on the Costa del Sol Occidental, it has gained popularity in terms of tourism.

Among the most important elements of its monumental heritage stand out the San Pedro Church of colonial style, as well as the San Luis Villa, current headquarters of the Mayor’s Office, located right next to it, in the Plaza de San Pedro. In the municipality, there is also the Basilique of Vega del Mar (Visigothic origin) that has a necropolis. Half a kilometre from this Basilique, we can visit the Roman baths of Las Bovedas.

The most popular festivals in the municipality are in honour of the patron saint. San Pedro de Alcántara is one of the last fairs in Andalusia according to the annual calendar.
