Heritage and History

With the Muslim invasion, Jimena is reinforced to serve as a strategic spot. Its heritage legacy is headed by its castle, from the 13th-14th centuries (Cultural Heritage Asset).

The city hosts two cultural events of great relevance. The first of them is the International Music Festival (July), which will surprise you with the quality of its participants and the stages located in natural spaces and in the magnificent Historic Ensemble of the town. We must also highlight the Jimena Flamenco Festival.
