The Andalusian coastline is completely full of unspoilt beaches, marshes and cliffs. In total, it has more than 800 kilometres of coastline, as well as other natural spaces.

Andalusia has different types of beaches. The entire coastline of Huelva and Cádiz that meets the Atlantic Ocean, known as Costa de la Luz, has fine golden sand and strong waves. Those that are in contact with the Mediterranean Sea, that is, from the Strait of Gibraltar to the province of Almeria, which includes Costa del Sol, Costa Tropical and finally, Costa de Almeria, have warmer waters and strong winds.

The climate and the bright sunshine, as well as the soft sand and stunning coastline of each of its beaches, make Andalusia a total holiday paradise.

The quality of the marvellous and vast waters that surround our autonomous community, are rewarded with the Blue Flag recognition. This distinction rewards hygiene, safety and accessibility, among many other aspects to highlight.

It also has a large number of pristine beaches, such as Caleta de Maro Beach in Nerja (province of Malaga), Calaiza Beach in Almuñécar (province of Granada), Cañuelo Beach in Zahara de los Atunes (province of Cadiz), Cala Cristal Beach in Cuevas de Almanzora (province of Almeria) and La Flecha Beach in El Rompido (province of Huelva).

In Costa de la luz, the beaches stand out for their fine golden sand, with impressive tourist infrastructures and known as ideal places for water sports and activities. You can also enjoy the possibility of practising underwater fishing on some beaches such as Bolonia or Valdevaqueros, thanks to their spectacular crystal-clear waters.
Some of these beaches are complemented by dunes, pine forests and wild or quiet places that will make your visit a unique experience. They are particularly close to natural areas such as the Guadiana River, the Guadalquivir River and the Doñana National Park.

On the other hand, there is the famous Costa del Sol, which covers more than 100 kilometres of coastline from the cliffs of Maro to the town of Casares, covering the entire province of Malaga. Its marvellous charming beaches, with calm waters and fine sand, are ideal for all visitors.
