Casa Angelita is a venue located in the Old Town of Cádiz inspired in the old food houses around the city where you will be able to enjoy the art of eating tapas. A different place that brings fresh air to Calle Nueva.
Casa Angelita, “tradition and benediction”, is a recreation of the old food houses, a place to eat tapas in a bar. It is not a place to stay too long, and they do not take reservations.
The name of the bar pays tribute to Ángela, the typical “chicuca” who has done everything: from cook, to waitress and now running her own business for years. That is why this is our best tribute to her.
The menu has cold dishes such as prawn salad, anchovies, Navarra’s asparagus and other dressing dishes. It also has some fried cuttlefish dressed in lemon, pickled sardines or the classic bluefin tuna tartar and the home-made tuna rinds.
Different fried foods such as “chocos” or marinade “cazón”, fried cod, Iberian ham croquettes or fried chicken with Sherry wine.
You can also order vegetarian dishes, a magnificent selection of smoked food with sturgeon from Granada or a cheese board that offers us a tour from the north to the south of Spain with products of the highest quality.
Casa Angelita’s decoration bears the stamp of Gaspar Sobrino, well known in the province for his decoration work in other restaurants and gastronomic spaces. A classic, authentic venue but with a modern and contemporary touch, filled with noble materials such as clay, rope, wood and antique tiles.
Authentic but glamorous, following Spanish tradition. A venue that, like fine wine, will get more beautiful with each passing year.
