La Cartuja de Santa María de la Defensión (“Carthusian Monastery of Santa María de la Defensión”), in Jerez de la Frontera, is possibly the religious monument with the highest artistic value of the province of Cadiz.

The complex, in the late Gothic style, was built in the 15th century. We must mention the Renaissance façade, the Chapel of Santa María, the Choir stalls and the altarpiece. A small Gothic cloister, designed by Martínez Montañés, is also worth mentioning.

Es un monumento que no se puede dejar de visitar. Es grandioso, la tienda igualmente resulta interesante. Vista muy recomendable

No se puede visitar. Sólo abre para las musas. Clausura estricta. Pero se pueden ver la portada de entrada al jardín y la fachada principal del Monasterio

Precioso templo renacentista y barroco. El interior solo puede verse en horario religioso. Parking. Accesible desde carretera. Cartujos de clausura.

Si pasas cerca de allí ve a verlo. Es realmente precioso. Ojalá se conserve así durante muuucho tiempo. Deberían prestarle más atención y cuidarlo más, una joya así no deberíamos dejarla caer.
