It is located on what was the Roman city of Saguntia, founded by the Turdetans. Later, it was annexed to Rome as a stipendiary city and reached its maximum splendour during the Visigothic domination.
You can appreciate excellent views of the surrounding landscape from the tower. In addition, it is one of the best preserved monuments of the municipality.
