It covers areas of the townships of San José del Valle, Arcos de la Frontera, Paterna de Rivera and Algar. The Majaceite River is the one that feeds the reservoir. You can practise several active tourism activities here, such as kayaking or game fishing.

Charco de los Hurones is a village developed around the Hurones Reservoir. It was built during the construction of the reservoir to accommodate the workers. It is located in Los Alcornocales Natural Park, which gives you a magnificent chance to practise some active tourism activities or to simple enjoy nature.
