The Military Historical Museum of Seville (Museo Histórico Militar de Sevilla) is located in the beautiful Plaza de España, next to the Puerta de Aragón. It opened in 1992. It has three plants (in 2000, two of them were added), divided into ground floor, central floor and top floor. More than five thousand objects are exhibited here.
On the ground floor, there are eight rooms exhibiting, among other things, military weapons and utensils of specific times. There are also some halls where to carry out meetings, conferences or projections. In addition, they recreate a trench in a battle of the twentieth century in the Sala Guardia de Prevención.
In the central plant, divided into three rooms, we find bunkers, mockups, sculptures…
The upper floor is divided into Sala de planos y estudio (“Plans and Study Room”) and Sala de catalogación (“Cataloguing Room”).
If you love the military world or you’re just simply curious to know more about the Sevillian military history, we recommend visiting the Military Historical Museum of Seville.
