The current Parish Church of Santo Ángel Custodio is the result of the remodelling during several centuries of a primitive hermitage from the 17th century in Cadiz. Reconverted first into a Chapel, during the 19th century it was transformed into a hall church.
The exterior is sober and the main altarpiece stands out inside. It is made up of a large rococo base in gilded wood, on which stands the sculptural group of the Santo Angel de la Guarda. This is a polychromed Baroque piece work by the Neapolitan Nicolas Fumo.
