The Palacio de Orleans-Borbón (“Palace of Orleans and Bourbon”) is located in Sanlúcar de Barrameda (province of Cadiz). It is a beautiful building built in the mid-19th century as a summer residence of the Dukes of Montpensier and other royal members of Spain.
Its design is conformed to the structure of different buildings that were part of the plot. They tried to provide a certain exterior homogeneity, using the Neo-Mudéjar and the Italian classical styles for the façades. The interior is a combination of different styles, ranging from Rococo to some as extravagant as the Chinoiserie or the Egyptian.
It was acquired from the Orleans family in the eighties and currently houses the City Hall.
