Parque del Alamillo, in Seville, is a green area where you can enjoy your leisure time outdoors with endless possibilities. Go all over the park by train, practice canoeing on one of the lakes, walk with your dog... You won't get bored at all!
Parque del Alamillo (“Alamillo Park”) is one of the greenest parks of Seville city. 120 hectares and located at the end of the Guadalquivir River, it opened in 1993 north of the Isla de la Cartuja.
There are some lakes and several species of birds and trees, among which willows, arbutus and orange groves stand out. There are also several monuments in the centre of the park, as the Monumento al Maestro (“Monument to the Teacher”) or a statue of Don Quixote.
Parque del Alamillo has endless possibilities. Enjoying drinks at a bar in the dining areas, celebrating a birthday surrounded by nature, water skiing or canoeing any of its lakes, playing with the kids in the children’s areas. Teaching some tricks to your dog in the dog training area, touring the park in a small train… As you can see, there are options for everyone, and you will never have time to get bored!
In addition, the Veranillos del Alamillo are celebrated during summer, with a program of activities for the whole family among which concerts, outdoor movies or workshops stand out. You can also enjoy Saint John’s Eve in Parque del Alamillo.
In short, the Parque del Alamillo is much more than a park: it is a meeting area where everyone is welcome.
