Centro Céramica Triana is located in the Sevilian Triana district. You will find out here how important pottery is for this district, so do not hesitate to visit it if you want to know something more about the history of Triana.
The Centro Cerámica Triana (“Triana Ceramics Centre”) is located in the Triana district, in Seville (Andalusia, Spain). It is located in the old factory of Santa Ana, on Callao Street. As cradle of ceramics, it is not surprising that Centro Cerámica Triana has been created so that its history is represented.
The centre is divided into two floors. On the ground floor we can visit the facilities of the former factory and the production method. We can see kilns that date from the sixteenth century, clay deposits, a well and boards for drying molds, among many other items. On the more modern upper floor, we find the permanent exhibition hall, with very valuable pieces from the Plaza de España, the Museum of Arts and Popular Customs and the Archaeological Museum, among others. You will also know a bit more about the idiosyncrasies of Triana on this floor.
They also celebrate theatre nights bringing art and culture together.
